Our Mtoni tents are Tor’s Camp’s flagship accommodation—off-grid, classic-style safari tents raised on wooden platforms and nestled in the riverine forest. Each tent offers a comfortable and secluded stay, with open-air en-suite bathrooms, modern flushing toilets, electricity, and hot showers for an authentic safari experience with a touch of comfort. In the Mtoni style, we have both double tents and family tents (sleep 4) available.

Tor’s Camp has two Machweo tents situated in their own private camping area. Each comfortably sleeps between 2 and 4 guests. These fully furnished tents feature fully open en-suite bathrooms. The beds can be arranged with either singles or with a double-bed configuration, providing flexibility for your stay.
Exclusive use rates
To hire the whole camp costs:
Regular Season (Jan - March, June, Oct, Dec)
1200 USD per night (or KES equivalent)
Green Season (April, May, Nov)
960 USD per night (or KES equivalent)
High Season (July, Aug, Sep)
1680 USD per night (or KES equivalent)
Plus an additional per person per night fee as shown below.
Included in the exclusive use package:
Exclusive use of all camp facilities, including all tents, kitchen, mess tent, and camp grounds.
Dedicated staff: room stewards, bartender, chef, and night security.
Fully stocked bar.
Full access to camp equipment: back-up generator, water pumps, picnic gear for game drives (cool boxes, picnic bags, picnic tables, cutlery, plates, coffee press and all other essentials).
Dining equipment.
All applicable Value Added Tax (VAT).
Not included in the exclusive use package:
Guide and vehicle (230 USD per day, fits up to 7 people).
National Reserve entrance fees:
Per day: Adult : 100 USD (01 Jan-31 June, 200 USD (31 July-31 Dec), (Child: 50 USD).
Community bed-night fees (Per night per person: 80 USD non-resident adults, 40 USD non-resident children, 3,000 KSH resident adult, 1500 resident child) .
Alcohol and soft drinks.
Food, water and beverages.
Full-catering can be done for an additional 84 USD per adult per day, 48 USD per child (Including: hearty breakfasts, picnic lunches, 3-course dinners).
